In the second quarter of 2021, the top Film & Television apps on the Android platform in Peru showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of Netflix, Disney+, América tvGO, Mi Movistar Perú, and Pluto TV: Watch Movies & TV.

Netflix saw a mixed trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 49K and dropping to a low of 33.9K by the end of May. However, it recovered slightly, peaking at 41.2K in the week of June 21. The weekly active users followed a downward trend from 3.1M in late March to about 2.5M by the end of May, with a minor recovery to approximately 2.7M by the end of June.

Disney+ experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, ranging from $17.8K to a peak of $29.6K. Downloads showed a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, jumping from around 31.5K in late May to 65K by the end of June. The app's active users also grew, starting at 716K and reaching 813K by the end of the quarter.

América tvGO saw an impressive growth in downloads, beginning the quarter with approximately 14.5K and ending with 82.3K by the end of June. The active user base mirrored this trend, increasing from about 27K to 111K over the same period. Revenue, however, was minimal, with only a couple of weeks showing any income, peaking at $1.3K in late March.

Mi Movistar Perú maintained a stable download rate, fluctuating between 31.4K and 36.4K throughout the quarter. Active users showed slight variations but remained relatively consistent, with a minor decrease from 582K to 579K by the end of June.

Pluto TV: Watch Movies & TV saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at 30.4K and peaking at 49.1K by mid-June. Active users also grew from 146K to 202K over the quarter.
